Long-Lasting NBR Rubber Lino Roller

Our lino ink roller features NBR rubber, which is popular among artists for its flexibility, smooth surface, and long lifespan. The material is both durable and highly resistant to oils and chemicals, as well as tearing or cracking. At the same time, it can withstand hundreds to thousands of hours of ink printing.

For at home relief printmaking, this linocut roller makes a welcome addition to any studio workspace. This is in part because of how easy it is to clean. The rubber surface fairs great against any ink, and cleans quickly. More importantly though, it binds colors perfectly, promising smooth ink transfer for any printing.

Smooth Rolling Ball Bearings

Ball bearings of the highest quality feature on each lino ink roller in the metal frame that attaches to the solid core. These bearings glide the ink roller over any printing surface with ease. They also make it easy to maintain the lino roller in the same position relative to the sides when printing.

Comfortable & Elegant in Hand

The shape of each lino ink roller provides delicate precision with a natural grip at just the right angle. All the while, the solid oak of the handle is sturdy and attractive. The color wonderfully matches the material and stain of our lino presses as well. This way, your printmaking collection and hand print tools look lovely side-by-side – in any home, studio, or artist space.

Non-Slip Topside Rubber Edge

Clean-up has never been this easy, or unnecessary. The non-slip rubber edge on the topside of the ink roller means you simply flip upside-down when applying ink. Your hands will never get messy again, nor will your workspace areas for that matter! The rubber ensures the lino ink roller never slips on surfaces, while the handle is at a comfortable angle for lifting.

Rouleau encreur

Bonjour,
Très bonne qualité de fabrication, malheureusement le rouleau est arrivé marqué (quelque chose à comprimer le caoutchouc). Je ne l'ai pas retourné et je m'en sers, peut-être reprendra t'il sa forme initiale?
Bonne journée.

FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

Are the rollers only suitable for linocut, or can I use them for other printing techniques?

Our ink rollers are incredibly versatile and can be used across a variety of printing techniques. In addition to linocut, these print rollers are perfect for woodcut, monotype, lithography, drypoint, mezzotint, and more. Whether you're working with ink or roller ink, our rollers provide the flexibility you need.

Do you have any tips on the inks that work best with your ink rollers?

We recommend using oil-based inks with our ink rollers for the best results. Oil-based inks have a thicker consistency compared to water-based inks, allowing them to adhere better to the surface of the roller, and then to your matrix. This creates richer, more vibrant colours when using your print roller for linocut or other techniques.

What is the durability of your ink rollers?

Our ink rollers are built to last with a solid metal construction, a shaft and roller running on covered bearings, and a hard oak wood handle. The NBR rubber we use is the same durable material found in industrial machines, which means our rollers are designed for thousands of rotations, ensuring a long lifespan and consistent performance.

How are the ink rollers cleaned after use?

Cleaning your print roller is simple. After use, we recommend wiping the ink roller with a dry cloth. For oil-based inks, wash the ink roller with a solvent like turpentine or mineral spirits. If you’ve used a smaller amount of ink, you can often roll the ink roller on paper to remove the excess before washing.

What benefits will your ink rollers bring me?

Our ink rollers offer exceptional durability and smooth operation. With solid construction, bearings for smooth movement, and a hard oak wood handle, they ensure consistent results with every print. The 13mm thick NBR rubber provides lasting flexibility, making these rollers ideal for both linocut and other printing techniques, and ensuring reliable, efficient performance with every use.
